The excitement of looking to the future now impliesan engagement and an ethical responsibility towards those whowill be there after them. That’s why the Giusti sisters, as a thirdgeneration, have made a serious and committed effort to implementimportant measures in favour of the environment.

Solar energy

Since 2006, AGL has been exploiting sunlightrenewable energy for their footwear production, generating cleanenergy thanks to photovoltaic units.

The three plant sections receive the total energy of about 500,000 kWh fromphotovoltaics, specifically, the 1550 FTV panels covering the whole company’s roof area of2.400 square meters.

In the context of the overall consumption of AGL Spa, this affects for areduction in energy costs of about 70% of the actual needs.

In solar energy production, greenhouse gas emissionsare zero, thereby protecting the planet from harmful carbondioxide emissions.

WASTE REDUCTION

Aware ofworking with precious materials such as stones, leathers and naturalrubber, the Giusti sisters have always promoted an ethical andrespectful attitude in the company, reducing the waste of rawmaterials and promoting their reuse in the production of small leather goods.

PACKAGING

AGL only uses FSC-certified paper and cardboard for its packaging. FSC certification guarantees that the paper comes from trees in responsibly managed forests and from a sustainable supply chain all the way to the customer's hands. The shoe protector bags are made of fully recycled polyester with GRS certification.

ISO 14001 CERTIFICATION

Driven by afervent desire to improve their environmental managementsystem, the Giusti sisters have generated a procedureto limit the impact of their activities. In January 2021, AGLobtained the ISO 14001 certification, attesting to the reduction of CO2emissions.
