The embroidered BALLET FLAT is the emblem of the Italian craftsmanship of AGL: a refined, hand-embroidered floral design with beads, raffia threads, and filigree accessory embellish the soft velour. The traditional “Sacchetto” construction method involves creating the upper and lining directly in the form of the shoe without seams, thereby ensuring a soft, glove-like fit.
AGL Bridal is a curated selection of fashion-forward shoes inspired by and designed for the modern and brave bride. From embroidered sneakers, decorated with crochet insets and silver studs, to pretty flats crafted with a time-honored Italian tradition for a soft, glove-like fit, the special line-up features quirky, unexpected styles. Other signature shoes include a block-heel, silver sandal with a burst of iridescent jewels affixed to the back as well as a pair of ivory ankle boots with the same sparkling detail.
The BROGUE and the SANDAL made of black calfskin are embellished on the leather sole by large goldtone studs and a black leather tubular welt hand-braided with black raffia and leather stripes. The magic gros grain ribbon, tied in a soft bow with its multicolor changing shades, is the unexpected detail symbolizing sisterly love bonding the three sisters – three different women – as a perfect match. This exquisite proof of AGL’s Italian modern savoir faire has been produced in limited pairs, dedicated to special shoes collectors and celebrating the beauty of art, fashion and feminine creativity.
The strong identity of the famous fashion magazine Hunger, mixed up with Giusti Sisters’ love for talent, gave birth to AGL second fashion film, now directed by Yuan Hu, starring AGL Spring Summer 2017 collection.
Three girls inspired by the three Giusti sisters play showing their skills, talent and personality by dancing in AGL shoes. Yuan chose a metafilm architecture to highlight the spontaneous femininity and childlike soul of the girls in a metaphore with the Giusti Sisters’ creations.
”We are so enthusiastic about our collaboration that continues with Hunger – Vera Giusti says - Rankin deeply knows us and AGL DNA, he is able to give a fun interpretation of the young, feminine and contemporary imprinting we impressed to our family’s brand”.
